Pause for Paws
When I first started to create jewelry with my doodles I used prints of my designs cut out to fit pendent or earring jewelry blanks. This led to left over circles cut out of my prints that were too small for the jewelry blanks. I couldn’t bring myself to get rid of these leftovers as I found them too pretty. During the lockdown I decided to try to use these leftover circles to create collages. I began by gluing the leftover circles in the shape of one of my designs. Since then I’ve expanded to using the circles to create animal silhouettes, to cutting sections of my prints to create more traditional collages, and to cutting and gluing pieces of my prints to create mosaics out of paper.
